How many times have you been faced with a dirty stove drip pan? It’s not a fun job at all. I’m sure you’ve tried everything to clean it, but nothing seems to work – until now! This article features 5 amazing steps that will lead you in the right direction of cleaning your stove drip pans using dryer sheets.
What dryer sheets are for?
Dryer sheets are used to reduce static cling, soften clothes and leave behind a fresh scent. It is the same thing with the stove drip pan! The dryer sheet will help lift away any caked-on food or grease that has built up on your stove’s drip pans over time.
How does it work?
Mainly, the dryer sheet works as a degreaser. It will help break down all of those greasy and sticky food particles left on your drip pan. With its use, you’ll be able to lift away all that dirt with ease!
After using it for this process, I like to finish up by thoroughly scrubbing the stove’s drip pans with some warm water and dish soap. However, if there is any grease still visible after drying them off then just repeat these steps until satisfied!
What Are Stove Drip Pans?
Stove drip pans are the metal pieces that sit underneath your stove’s cooking surface. They catch any grease and moisture dripping from the burners above them which helps to prevent messes on your kitchen floor or countertops.
Stove drip pans are a component of your stove that requires regular cleaning. They can become dirty over time from food particles and grease. If not cleaned on a regular basis, these particles can build up and cause a foul smell.
How Often to Clean Stove Drip Pans?
Stove drip pans should be cleaned every month or so depending on how often they’re used.
The best thing about using dryer sheets to clean your stove drip pans is that it can be done as often as you’d like! We recommend doing this every time the pan starts looking dirty.
However, if there are any caked-on food stains left behind after cleaning then just repeat these steps until satisfied.

Tips to Clean Stove Drip Pans
Why you should use dryer sheets? The dryer sheet will help lift away any caked-on food or grease that has built up over time!
If not cleaned on a regular basis, then the food particles and grease will build up over time and become harder to remove!
If it is still visible, then just repeat these steps until satisfied!
Step 1. Clean the stove
To clean the stove, you will need to remove all of the dust particles from it. You can do this by using a dry or wet cloth.
If you are using a wet cloth, make sure to wring it out completely before wiping it down your stove. This will help prevent any water spots from appearing on the surface.
Step 2. Wash the drip pans with hot water and detergent
Mix a little water in dish soap and add it to the stove drip pan. Now, take a wet cloth or sponge and scrub off all of that caked-on food debris from your oven’s drip pans! Then rinse out the dirty soapy solution by using warm water again.
Now, take a dry cloth or sponge to remove all of the excess moisture and soap from your stove’s drip pans.
Step 3. Clean top stove with baking soda
Now, it’s time to clean the top of your stove. This can be easily done by sprinkling some baking soda onto a damp cloth and wiping down the surface.
Baking soda is a great cleaner that will help remove any grease or dirt buildup from your stovetop!
Is it safe to clean stove drip pans with baking soda? Yes! Baking soda can get deep into all of those hard-to-reach places where dirt accumulates during use. Plus, baking soda is a natural cleaner so you don’t have to worry about toxic.
After cleaning with the baking soda, make sure to dry off the area completely before moving on to the next step.
Step 4. Use wire wool
To clean the top of your stove, you can use wire wool or steel wool. This will help remove any additional grease and dirt that has built up over time.
After using the wire wool to clean off all excess debris from your stovetop, be sure to wipe it down with a dry cloth again before moving on to the next step!
Is it safe to clean stove top with steel wool? Yes & No! You would only want to use steel wool when cleaning around/underneath gas burners because they could get damaged by this type of metal. However, if there are any caked-on food particles left behind then just repeat these steps until satisfied!
Step 5. Put the dryer sheets in the center of drip pans.
Take a dryer sheet and place it in the center of your stove’s drip pans. Now, it’s time to clean your stove drip pans! Rub them together all over the surface of each pan. The lint from the dryer sheets will help lift away any caked-on grease or food particles that have built up during use!
When you feel like there is no more grime left on top of the stove drip pans tray then simply throw out the used sheet and replace it with a new one for next time. It can be done as often as you’d like.
Conclusion
Dryer sheets will make this process a lot easier, especially if you’ve never cleaned off those pesky grease stains before! Plus, they’re pretty inexpensive and can be found at most grocery stores for only $0.50-$0.75 per box (or bag).
